High on Love for Valentine’s

July 29, 2023 by JanesCannabis

Playing Cupid is going to look a lot different this year. In a way, the pressure is off! There are fewer options that you can do to make the most perfect Valentine’s Day date. Seems like you are going to have to come up with a creative plan!

Assuming you are here to include a little friendly cannabis into your romantic day, we have come up with a full plate of ideas that you can steal as much or as little of it that will help take your Valentine’s Day to a new high!

Jane’s Guide to Playing Cupid

The Morning

It’s Sunday, so hopefully you and your partner are sleeping in (Jane’s orders!). Now, this part might be the most important; if you haven’t bought any flowers yet, jump out of bed, into the car and go get some… stat!

‍
Once the flowers are taken care of, you can start to elevate your romantic day. Pour yourselves a cup of Happy Hibiscus Mate Tea to wake up and feel energized. You will need that energy boost because we are off to appreciate the beautiful outdoors!

The Afternoon

Bundle up nice and warm, it is time to enjoy the great outdoors! We’ve been stuck inside for almost a year of our lives. Embrace the outdoor escape from the confinement of your home and enjoy all that mother nature has to offer, while sharing it with the one you love. Sheppard’s Bush Conservation Area is always a popular choice here in Aurora.

We recommend you bring some Trailblazer Spark Sticks to add a new dynamic to your walk and some Bhang THC Milk Chocolate to add a little boost along the way.

‍
Once you are back home, drink some strawberry hibiscus sparkling water to calm you down, then feel free to take a nap… you have a big night ahead *wink*

The Evening

It’s a special day, so why not have some dessert before your meal for a change? Spark up some Chocolate Fondue then treat  your loved one to an amazing home cooked meal! Alternatively, support a local restaurant, we are blessed here in Aurora with quite a few great ones!.

Pair your meal with a delicious cocktail! Try a new spin on an old drink. Take 11/2 oz of gin,add 2-3 ice cubes, and fill the rest of the drink with House of Terpenes sparkling tonic! Garnish it with either fresh basil or, for citrus fans, a slice of orange. Voila! A modern twist on a Gin & Tonic!

‍
Not to be left out, an after dinner treat! The rich, robust taste of Fireside Dark Chocolate Duo leaves enough goodness for each of you.

The Late Night

Now, we are most definitely not going to tell you what to do after dinner. You may want to just chill out and relax or maybe you want to do something a little more… energetic.

No matter what you plan to do with the rest of your night, here are some fun products that are fairly self-explanatory to be used in any combination:

  • Dreamer Bath Bomb
  • Latitude Charcoal Bath Salts
  • Tulia CBD Lotion
  • Sex Pot Intimacy Oil

No matter how you decide to shake up the end of a long but romantic day, sit back, and toke back on something you and your partner can begin your wind down with. White Wedding seems to be a popular choice as part of a bedtime (or dare we say, cuddle) routine.

‍
If you are incorporating cannabis this Valentine’s Day, make sure to play safe and use products responsibly. Our Budtenders are ready to play Cupid and give advice on ways to incorporate cannabis this Valentine’s Day. Give us a shout!

Jane’s Cannabis is open for pickup and same day delivery until 8pm on February 14.

Gas Berries #112: A Limited Release Strain from Ogen Cannabis

July 29, 2023 by JanesCannabis

Welcome back guys, to another instalment of our quick reviews here at Jane’s Cannabis! Today we have one of my favourite products in the legal market. It disappeared for a while, but now it’s back as a limited release. Its Gas Berries #112 from the good people at Ogen Cannabis!

What makes it special?

That beautiful smell! One of the unique aromas in the legal market, this beautiful bud makes its presence known with its beautiful bouquet of, legit, berries and gas! One of the few products where I smell the product every time I open the container because I cannot get enough of it. With light and airy buds, sticky with trichomes, it busts up nicely in your grinder. Coming in at 24% THC, it’s no slouch when it comes to that department. A heavy indica with strong euphoric effects, this bud is in a league of its own.

Terpene Profile:

The total terpene percentage on this batch comes in at 4.78%.

Beta-Myrcene – 1.64% – plays a big role in the entourage effect of this bud. B-myrcene acts upon the CB-2 receptors, just like CBD does, creating a mild sedative effect when working with THC. It can be found in many food products, such as mangos, lemongrass and bay leaves.

Alpha-Pinene – 1.24% – as you can guess from the name of the terpene, a-pinene can be found in trees (pine and coniferous) as well as rosemary. As a naturally occurring anti-inflammatory, its medical properties cannot be denied. Certain studies have also attributed a-pinene as a compound that can fight the onset of Alzheimer’s. While there are not that many studies, hopefully with legalization, research on cannabis and its associated terpenes will be expanded on.

How much does it cost?

$69.99. Ogen has a product here that is unique in its aroma and properties. They currently offer it in 7g jars, so coming in at $10/g, it is definitely on the pricier side of the legal market, with so many options out there. But I can definitively say that you will not find another product that is similar to what this bud offers. (I’ve tried) From the beautiful bouquet of berries to the underlying notes of gas, this potent bud is worth it if you are willing to treat yourself to good cannabis once in a while,

Rating: 8.5/10

I was considering giving this an 8/10 because of the price, but in my opinion, the higher price is justified by the quality of the product. Whether treating yourself to something special or it’s your daily go to, it truly is one of a kind in the legal market. From the sticky trichomes, the potency and, once again, the wonderful smell, it is not something you will find in abundance in a market saturated with many strains that are similar to each other. For a truly unique experience, pick up Gas Berries #112, which, as far as we know, is a limited release. Let’s hope that’s not the case. Thank you, Ogen, for bringing this wonderful product back to the market, and I sincerely hope you do not put this back in the vault!

Fresh Frozen Hash Rosin: The Ultimate Concentrate from Nugz

July 29, 2023 by JanesCannabis

Hey! Today the product we are focusing on is Fresh Frozen Hash Rosin by our friends at Nugz!

What makes it special?

The fresh frozen part means that the plant matter was not cured and was frozen, sieving the flower through 159-45 micrometer wash bags to create this wonderful product we have before us today. Just by looking at the packaging, you know Nugz pays attention to the little details as a lot of important information is already available on the package. The packaging lists the strain (Terple), total terpenes, THC and CBD content, the temperature at which it was pressed, the micron size of the bags used, and the package date. That is a lot of info!

Terpene Profile:

Farnesene – 1.7% – known for its calming and sedative effects as well as some anti-inflammatory properties. Found mainly in hops, ginger, and sandalwood.

Caryophyllene – 1.7% – known for its anti-inflammatory properties. It is unique in that it provides those benefits without the euphoric feeling usually associated with cannabis.

Limonene – 1.3% – mainly found in citrus peel, there are many potential health benefits, such as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

How much does it cost?

$49.95. One of the best value-for-dollar concentrates products on the market right now.

Rating: 9/10

The quality of the rosin, the packaging, and the information presented on the packaging are all wonderful. Rosins can be a pricier option than resins, but with this Nugz product, you are getting a lot of bang for your buck. I would highly recommend it. We are currently stocking this product here at Jane’s. Come in and talk to our wonderful staff if you have any questions, and we can help you out.

Thanks for reading our first iteration of Quick Reviews.  We hope to have more up soon.  If you have a questions in regards to this product, or any product in our inventory, please do not hesitate to contact us at (905) 713-1000 or info@janescannabis.ca.

Explore Your Curiosity at Jane’s Cannabis Shop

July 29, 2023 by JanesCannabis

“Every adventure requires a first step,” said the Chesire cat to Alice.

When Alice stepped into the looking-glass to Wonderland, she allowed her body and mind to completely be overtaken and mesmerized by the experience. She felt things she had not felt before, her curiosity blossomed and, in the end, she came out the other side with a new way of thinking.

When was the last time you adventured through your looking-glass into Wonderland?

Our philosophy at Jane’s Cannabis is to try and take Alice’s sense of curious wonder and recreate it for our patrons. Sure, if you already know what you want, feel free to just come in and out. But, for the rest of you, we welcome you to come in and explore. Allow yourself to take in your surroundings, admire the vintage decorations and handmade art, or just chat with our employees.

We’ve modelled our store to reflect the surreal. We’ve gone against the grain of other dispensaries and shaped our store to be different. To be timeless.

‍

A Cannabis Store Rooted in Community

‍

Jane’s Cannabis was built by our family. No help was sought from the big cannabis corporations. We wanted it to be as authentic as possible. Any chance we had, we used Aurora businesses to help develop and build our store. We want to build a community within the community and are excited to be the cornerstone of Aurora’s cannabis culture. We want to set the tone for its future.

Our love of fine art and design, specifically in the surreal, inspired our store look and feel. Artists including Rene Magritte and author Lewis Caroll were our primary influences. We want to give people a place to get lost in their curiosity. This curiosity will also help us learn what our community likes or wants. We want you to leave our store feeling satisfied with the time you spend within so that you can fully enjoy (responsibly) the time you spend with your products once you have left.

Gone are the days of prohibition, no more is smoking pot a taboo. Instead, we are in the new reality that you can build your experience around cannabis however you like. The first step is through our front doors, your gateway to curiousity.

We look forward to welcoming you when we open our doors September 12!

C.R.E.A.M Cake Cannabis Review: Unique Hybrid Strain by Ghost Drops

July 29, 2023 by JanesCannabis

Boo! Probably didn’t get ya, but we know that this dynamic duo of reviews will! This will be the first review of the pair of 2 wonderful strains we’ve been blessed with from Ghost Drops! The strains we will be reviewing from them will be C.R.E.A.M cake and King Sherb! Today we will focus only on C.R.E.A.M. cake, followed by a King Sherb review soon!

What makes it special?

C.R.E.A.M. cake is a cross between Pancakes x Creamsicle. Originally bred by Tiki Madman, then pheno-hunted and grown by Purplefarm. There is definitely not another strain out there on the legal market that is a cross between these 2 wonderful strains, which makes it absolutely unique on the market right now. With terpene percentages coming in at around 3-4.2%, the nose and flavour profile of this cannabis rules everything around me (general vicinity).

Aromatic and Visual Profile:

The main terpenes found in this wonderful flower are Limonene, Myrcene Camphene and Caryophyllene. With distinct notes of citrus with a bit of creaminess, this flower brings the flavour and aroma along with some dankness for that extra little something. Visually, large sparkling buds covered in trichomes that are speckled with flecks of purple here and there, it really is a treat if you wish to get the full sensory experience. The buds were a little dry, but that’s ok, some people like it like that. Personally, it would’ve been nice if the buds were a bit more moist, but c’est la vie.

Effects:

C.R.E.A.M cake is a balanced hybrid bringing a clear-headed mellow high, nothing too intense here folks. But that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t do what it needs to do, boosting creativity but is still nice and relaxing. It’s a great strain for people who want their cake and smoke it as well! Ghost Drops and Purplefarm genetics have really got a winner here.

How much does it cost?

At $59.98 for 3.5g, C.R.E.A.M. cake is a premium offering that may not be for everyone. However, those who appreciate exclusivity and are willing to invest in a truly unique and high-quality bud will find it well worth the price, delivering a remarkable experience that justifies the investment.

Summary

Ghost Drops has an excellent product here that will surely please whoever purchases it. C.R.E.A.M cake offers a truly complete sensory experience, with its unique strain, exceptional aroma, and balanced effects. Hats off to Ghost Drops, Tiki Madman, and Purplefarms for creating such an outstanding product that stands out in the market. Although not everyone may have the opportunity to experience it, those who do will undoubtedly appreciate the quality and exclusivity this bud has to offer.

Craft Cannabis: A Hands-On, Traditional Approach to Cannabis Production

July 29, 2023 by JanesCannabis

Craft cannabis is an expression used to describe marijuana items made with a more measured, carefully planned out strategy for cultivating, preparing, and packaging. Not like mass-produced cannabis products, craft cannabis is created in smaller batches with the primary emphasis on quality rather than amount. This artisanal procedure resembles the mindful way that master chocolatiers create their delectable delights.

Choosing the Right Strain

Crafting the perfect high-quality cannabis starts with selecting the right strain. Craft producers often take risks by cultivating regional, specialty, or sticky strains that require a more delicate touch than machine processing can provide.

Cultivating the Crop

Crafting quality cannabis requires the careful cultivation of crops, using various eco-friendly growing methods. At Simply Bare’s Delta facility in British Columbia, they are devoted to achieving net-zero waste and preserving water resources with their exclusive “secret recipe” of natural soil containing a community of beneficial organisms that promote organic breakdown and plant nutrition.

Trimming and Harvesting

Skillful trimming and harvesting are essential to creating expertly made cannabis. This is where craft cannabis producers get their hands dirty, delicately detaching minor leaves for the buds to become bigger and plump. The flower is harvested manually, which safeguards its fragile trichomes all while leaving it complete at collection time. After that, the flower can now be dried up–ready for use!

Drying and Curing

In the craft cannabis world, patience is essential – particularly when it comes to drying and curing. Instead of utilizing trays or high temperatures to expedite the process, craft producers hang branches in a dark room with consistent humidity and temperature control for several weeks until fully dried. This technique preserves the aroma, cannabinoid potency, as well as ensuring proper moisture content due to nutrients and cannabinoids flowing down towards the flower. Once completely dried out, slow curing follows suit so that terpenes remain aromatic and flavourful!

Testing and Packaging

In order to assure the quality and safety of all cannabis products, legal regulations demand rigorous testing for every batch. A certificate of analysis provides evidence that each ingredient is properly traceable. As an added measure, craft cannabis is often hand packaged in order to maintain its unique trichomes which have been carefully handled until this point.

Craft Cannabis Badge

Consumers are increasingly opting for more traditional, hands-on cannabis production, leading to an array of craft cannabis products. According to the OCS’s definition, artisanal marijuana should be hung-dried and manicured by hand while being cultivated in a small facility generating less than 10 thousand kgs per year. To identify premium quality handmade flower and pre-rolled joints that match your expectations, look out for the Craft Cannabis Badge!

Conclusion

Through slow, mindful production processes, craft cannabis offers an unparalleled approach to creating superior products with personalized flavour and cannabinoid profiles. From meticulous attention to detail at each stage of the process, craft cannabis stands out from mass-produced versions far and wide in terms of quality. Making the effort for careful cultivation results in a product that speaks for itself!

CBD Explained: Benefits, Interactions, and Choosing the Right Product

July 29, 2023 by JanesCannabis

The Basics of CBD: What You Need to Know

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a cannabinoid naturally derived from cannabis plants that have been linked to many potential health advantages. Unlike its more well-known relative THC, which induces the intoxicating effects of marijuana use, CBD does not produce any psychoactive experience and can be safely consumed without getting “high”. Research suggests various positive outcomes in our physical and mental state when using CBD products. In this article we’ll explain what exactly Cannabidiol is all about, how it interacts with our body systems, the therapeutic benefits associated with it as well as some tips for choosing a quality product.

How CBD Interacts with Your Body’s Endocannabinoid System

CBD can interact with our body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) and its intricate network of receptors and chemicals that control essential functions, such as appetite, mood, sleep, and pain. Similarly to THC, CBD can bind itself to these receptors, then modify their activity, which leads to a variety of effects on the human body.

Studies have demonstrated that CBD can inhibit the production of an enzyme responsible for destroying endocannabinoids, resulting in a noticeable rise of these molecules within the body. This surge has been seen to produce positive effects over physical and mental wellness because of its correlation with regulating numerous essential bodily functions as part of the ECS system.

The Potential Health Benefits of CBD

CBD has been praised for its ability to address a multitude of health issues, such as reducing stress and anxiety, providing pain relief, or even boosting skin health. Although there is some evidence attesting to these advantages, additional research must be conducted in order to ascertain the veracity of CBD’s effectiveness against those ailments. To further investigate the potential benefits of CBD, clinical trials are taking place across Canada to explore its use for an array of issues such as anxiety, addiction rehabilitation, post-surgery aches and pains, pediatric epilepsy treatment, cancer-related symptoms management, chronic headaches in adolescents alleviation and pain relief from neurological conditions including Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.

Not only may CBD possess notable health benefits, but it’s also been discovered to interact with a few other organic compounds in the body which could regulate feelings of mood, sleep and discomfort. These substances include serotonin, adenosine, and vanilloid.

Unpacking CBD Content in Cannabis Products

Whether you’re purchasing CBD products or just researching them, it’s critical to be aware of the exact milligrams listed on the packaging. This will tell you exactly how potent your product is and what amount of CBD you are actually consuming. The potency may vary depending on whether it’s per package, gram, or unit – but there are no legal limits imposed when referring to potencies in terms of CBD quantity. So make sure that whatever item (s) you bring home has all information pertaining to contents correctly specified!

Cannabis contains cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) upon harvest, which is the non-active form of CBD. By undergoing decarboxylation—a process that includes heating, curing or drying—the CBDA molecule drops off and the CBD transforms into its active state. Thus, manufacturers display two types of information on product labels: “CBD” to denote how much there is prior to activation; and “Total CBD”, which describes how much there will be once it’s heated.

A Guide to Different Types of CBD Products

CBD is widely available in many distinct forms, including dried flower, edibles, extracts, topicals and tinctures. However, it is important to remember that CBD has been stringently regulated by Health Canada; thus necessitating a specialized licence for the legal production and sale of this product across Canada. Furthermore, those living in Ontario should be aware that only adults aged 19 years or over can purchase these products containing CBD.

Choosing the Right CBD Product: Tips and Considerations

When searching for the right CBD product, it can be a bit of an intimidating experience with so many options available. To make sure you select what’s best for your needs, here are some considerations to keep in mind:

1. To guarantee the safety and effectiveness of a product, it is essential to source from an esteemed supplier that abides by quality control regulations. Doing so will set your mind at ease knowing you have purchased a reliable item.

2. What type of CBD product works best for you? You can choose from oil tinctures, edibles, topical creams and more – pick the one which is most convenient and appealing to your needs.

3. When shopping for CBD products, carefully examine the label to see how much of this key compound is included. The greater the concentration of CBD in a product, generally speaking, the more successful it is likely to be.

4. Price – It’s understandable that you may feel tempted to go for the most affordable CBD products, but remember, cost can indicate quality. Spending a bit more on higher-priced options might mean that they are made with better materials and contain larger concentrations of CBD.

5. Brand trustworthiness – If you’re selecting any CBD products, it’s important to assess the standing of the brand. To ensure you get quality items and optimal results, look for brands that transparently disclose their ingredient sources and production practices, with multiple positive reviews from existing customers.

6. In order to guarantee their purity and potency, only opt for products that have been third-party lab tested. You can find the results on either the product packaging or brand’s website with ease.

Exploring the Role of CBD in Improving Overall Wellness

To sum up, CBD is an established and useful component found in hemp plants and many cannabis species. Further research should be conducted to fully comprehend its affects; however, it is typically viewed as a reliable and successful approach to boost overall wellbeing. When selecting CBD products, you ought to consider the quality control and regulatory regulations, product type, amount of CBD content present, cost-effectiveness of the item being considered, name recognition of the brand offering this product or service plus third-party laboratory testing effects.

Bungle Through the Cannabis Jungle

July 29, 2023 by JanesCannabis

Cannabis. Marijuana. Weed. Mary Jane.

The amount of information and buzzwords surrounding cannabis can feel overwhelming. Most people, especially those just diving into the world of cannabis, know little about what they are buying or how different plants, strains, or consuming habits, affect their experience. To better understand the effects you could receive, or if you are considering buying seeds for growing your own plants, it is important to start at the farm level; learning the basic anatomy of the cannabis plant.

Getting to the Root of the Cannabis Plant

With legalization now 2 years behind us, the popularity and visibility of the cannabis leaf has become widespread. What many don’t realize is that the leaf itself contains very little cannabinoids, the chemical substance responsible for the effects felt from the consumption of cannabis.

‍
The desired effects of cannabis come primarily from the bud.

The Plant Gender Roles

The plant comes in 2 basic varieties, male and female. While hermaphroditic plants exist, it is primarily from the female plants that cannabis buds are harvested, so, we will leave out hermaphroditic plants for now. While all gender of plants produce pre-flowers, only the female and hermaphroditic plants will blossom with commercially harvestable buds.

Male Plant

Male Cannabis Plant

The role of the male plants is to pollinate the female plants to produce seeds. When growing crops of cannabis, the males plants are often a nuisance and discarded unless the crop’s purpose is to produce seeds or crossbreeds. While the male plants produce some levels of cannabinoids, the amount is small and would require substantial consumption to be smoked, which would be harmful to your respiratory system. Male plants can be used in the creation of hash and edibles much in the same as the sugar leaves and trim from the female plant can be.

‍

Female Plant

Female Cannabis Plant

The role of the female plant is twofold. They will biologically produce seeds when their pistils are pollinated from a male plant or, more commercially, used to create buds that can be sold and consumed. When prevented from pollinating, female plants will produce buds. These buds will pack themselves in tight clusters on the plant, called a cola, in which these tightly packed colas will appear as though they are one giant bud.

Other important components to the female plant are trichomes and bracts. Trichomes are microscopic mushroom-shaped and hair-like glands found on the surface of the cannabis plant. They produce large amounts of cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, as well as terpenes. They are colloquially known as “crystals” by most users. Bracts are small, tear-shaped leaves that protect the plant’s ovaries that contain its seeds. Their formation, along with the white trichomes, have popularized them as “sugar leaves” and are a component in producing edibles.

‍

Understanding The Fan Leaf

Coming back to where we started, let’s talk leaf.

As mentioned earlier, the fan leaf of the cannabis plant only produces trace amounts of cannabinoids. There are also differences between the various strains, which can be recognized by their fan leaf. There are 3 distinct types of cannabis. Once identified, the flower can be associated with various amounts of THC and CBD.

The sativa leaf has long narrow leaflets, with a brighter green colour. These plants have the highest levels of THC but very low amounts of CBD.

The indica leaf is a short, broad leaf with deep colouration. Indica plants have moderate amounts of THC but also much higher levels of CBD vs its sativa counterpart.

The ruderalis leaf has properties somewhere in between sativa and indica. It has small, thick leaves but only a few branches. It contains low levels of THC but the highest amount of CBD, though it takes more effort to extract.

Lastly, there are what are known as hybrid plants, which are crossbreeds between the three strains, taking different components in order to create new and varied strains.

Blue Dream Strain: A Guide to its History, Effects, Flavour, and More

July 29, 2023 by JanesCannabis

Introduction

Blue dream! One of those classic strains you hear about all the time. A cross between the strains Blueberry and Haze, it is a staple in many people’s rotation of buds that they smoke. A mostly sativa leaning strain, it is great at motivating and encouraging you to get off your butt and do something! Its THC percentage is certainly not the highest, but that makes this a great bud to get stuff done on as it is not too heavy on sedative effects.

Effects of Blue Dream

One of the main reasons Blue Dream is still one of the most popular strains out there because of its relaxation effects. While not heavily sedative where you feel couch locked, it will let you relax a bit and get yourself into that after work mood. Physical effects aside, it’s the mental effects of this wonderful strain that really make it a go to cultivar for many people.

Feeling beaten down by reality and your every day 9-5? Blue Dream can help with that! It’s been noted that Blue Dream boosts creativity and lets you reach for those stars when you’re feeling a little locked down. The duration of the effects will depend on the user, as tolerance will always have a say when it comes to that. As an experienced user, I find the experience last about 45 minutes to 1 hour for myself, though your mileage may vary depending on your consumption habits.

Flavour and Aroma

What can you come to expect from a strain whose lineage is Blueberry? Berries flavour and aroma, of course! The smoke is pleasant, with hints of berries and a sweetness that comes from the Haze side of its parentage.

Growing Process

Growing Blue Dream, one must have plenty of space as plants can reach up to 6ft in height with no problem. Tall and bushy, it must be staked in order to keep its weight from pulling it down. It is normally cultivated during October when growing outdoors, so while growing indoors, it is imperative to give it the proper amount of light depending on which part of the growing cycle it is currently on. Blue Dream should receive 16-24 hours of light.18/6 during its vegetative period and must be exposed to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness when it is in its flowering stage. The whole growing process should take about 9-10 weeks if given the proper amount of TLC.

Factors that contribute to the quality of the strain

Originating from the west coast, it favours a warmer climate. The ideal temperature in which best to grow Blue Dream is between 18.5 celsius – 29.5 celsius. A high nitrogen diet with quality soil is a must for a ravenous plant such as this. When growing, you want to follow the pistils to gauge when to harvest the plant, as when the pistils change colour is when the plant generates the best and most potent harvest.

History and Evolution

First appearing in the medical market in Santa Cruz in the 2000s, its genesis is something that is usually left up to speculation as the true origins are unknown. It is agreed upon that it is a cross between the indica DJ Shorts Blueberry and the sativa known as Haze. Nowadays, while the cross is Blueberry X Haze, there are so many Blueberry and Haze strains that one Blue Dream joint can differ slightly from one another. But in the end, it still gives us the effects and wonderfulness that comes from such an iconic strain!

Hands on experience

In doing the “research” for this article, I tried 3 different products from 3 different LPs, Simply Bare’s Organic Blue Dream, Pure Sunfarms’ Blue Dream and Station House’s Blue Dream, I didn’t feel there was a dramatic difference in between the 3 products in terms of effects. The Simply Bare Organic Blue Dream definitely had the most pronounced scent compared to the other 2, while the others offered a more muted experience in terms of taste and aroma. I welcome you all to come into Jane’s, where we offer multiple brands of Blue Dream and see for yourself what all the hubbub is about when it comes to this legendary strain!

Verdict

What can one say about such an iconic strain? From beginners to connoisseurs, Blue Dream has been in the rotation at least once in your history of smoking. The wonderful aroma of blueberries and sugary sweetness. The uplifting feeling of euphoria. The burst of creativity. It has all the hallmarks of a good strain, and a big reason it has stood the test of time. While it provides all those benefits, it is still a sativa leaning strain, so people prone to anxiety might still want to use caution if they plan on smoking some of this classic.

Conclusion

A legend in the community. Blue Dream is a strain that everyone knows. Whether you’ve only heard of it or have smoked it extensively in the past, it is at the forefront of conversation when it comes to a strain that provides you with a multitude of benefits while having minimal drawbacks. As with all strains of marijuana, one must always take care and use caution and know your limits when it comes to consumption. But if you’re a beginner taking their first toke, or an old head that’s smoked more than you can remember, Blue Dream will always be a strain that can give you the energy to face the day and say “up and at them!”
